What a big boy you are! We are so blessed to have you in our family. You are still the happiest little mellow boy and I love how excited you get when you see me. So what are you up to these days??
You are probably 20-21 lbs but you don’t go back to the doctor until the end of August
size 3 diapers
9-12 month clothing
size 3 shoe (I think)
you are still eating every 3 hours (sometimes 2.5) and 6 oz of formula
most days you eat 3 or 4 containers of baby food but with your teeth coming in your eating has decreased
you have 6 teeth! I can’t believe it…until you bite me!
you are really good at sitting by yourself and occasionally fall backwards
rolling and constantly wanting to stand up but still not pushing up to all fours or crawling
still sleeping 11.5-12 hours a night
your naps are still very short anywhere from 20-30 minutes unless we are in the car
you immediately go to sleep as soon as mommy starts singing and rocking you…still one of my fav times of day!
this past week you’ve tried a sippy cup with 1/2 apple juice and 1/2 water, banana smashed, biter biscuits, and yogurt melts-you like all of them!
one thing that really makes you laugh is when we bark like a dog!
you absolutely love watching Emma and you laugh at her all the time
most of the time your bedtime is 7pm
That’s all I can think of right now. People are always commenting on how good you are and how you have the most amazing eyelashes in the world. Everyone has always said that about your sister too. We love you Mr. H and I can’t believe you will be 1 year old in 4 months!
Look at those sweet little faces! I already miss the Wheeler clan and our house is just so quiet without our cute little cousins. My SIL and her family spent the past week with us and we have had such a wonderful time. At times our house was a little crazy with 8 people but we seriously had a blast! Emma is going to be so lonely next week.
Every morning Graham-bo went to camp at Sci-Quest and on Monday we all went so Emma and Isaac could play. Then in the evenings we did putt putt, Point Mallard Water Park, and I can’t even remember what else right now. Oh the big boys went to the Star Wars exhibit at the Space & Rocket Center. I think my favorite thing this week though was the thousands of requests each day to play either my computer, Aunt Beth’s computer, DS, or a phone. Our little monkeys are so tech savvy and I seriously can’t remember how many times a day they would ask to play one of those objects. Growing up, computers weren’t a big part of my life until I was in high school and I didn’t even own a cell phone until my first year of college so this is all so funny to me.
But seriously, I LOVED having them all here and look forward to them coming back in the fall!
Now on to the pictures! Here’s just a few of the kiddos and somehow several of Hudson. Which reminds me that he turned 8 months old today! I’ll do a post for that tomorrow. Mr. H has had a big week. Enjoy!
I believe it was Wednesday night that Hudson tried Biter Biscuits for the first time. He LOVES them! He’s had several since then and does really well. They are super messy but they are great for when I clean the kitchen or while we are eating dinner and he’s just sitting there.
Then last night he tried a sippy cup for the first time! I still can’t believe we are at this point with him. He is just growing way too fast. I mixed a small amount of apple juice with some water and he’s still learning how to get it out but today he did really well. Little man has 6 teeth now and he loves to chew on the sippy cute spout.
This morning Isaac and Emma were being so cute with each other. Since they are only 5 weeks apart they bicker about everything like they are brother and sister. It’s really cute and sometimes really annoying but they love each other. They got a kick out of posing for me and kept hugging. Then they both had to see themselves.
While Uncle Rob was packing the suitcases the kids dressed up and were dancing. I was recording it on the video camera and then they would run over and fight over sitting in my lap and Emma wanted to hold the camera. Silly little cuties!
And last but not least, Hudson trying a banana today. He loved it! I put some of it into a mesh feeder but most of it I just tore off into little pieces and helped him eat b/c it was too slippery. He was chomping down on some banana and he was doing so well with his sippy cup. Emma loves that he is getting bigger like her and she had to have part of his banana and a sippy cup just like H’s with her own apple juice.
I feel like this post is a big jumbled mess but I am in a zone tonight. I took a 1.5 nap after G got home this evening and it felt so good. We’ve stayed up late every night this past week and then been on the go all day so it felt wonderful. Thank you Aunt Beth, Uncle Rob, Graham, and Isaac for spending the week with us! We hope you had fun at our house and look forward to you coming back soon. We miss you already!
Oh how I love Friday! I get so excited on Thursday night especially when Friday is pay day! Today was a perfect day. We met my sweet Momma Tracy and Barbra for lunch at P.F. Changs (I gain weight just thinking about that place) and then we headed over to Kidventure to celebrate their 1st year of business. It was crazy busy when we got there and I was terrified when a little girl holding a huge boa (snake) was blocking my entrance to the door. Whoa! I’m such an old lady these days. When I was younger that wouldn’t have bothered me for the world but every time that little girl would walk near me and try and get me to pet the snake I would freak out. Emma loved it. She kept rubbing it and I seriously thought I might have a panic attack. But I survived and she had a blast. Oh and the best part-Emma slept 2.5 hours!!! George had to wake her up at 5:45pm! I was willing to let her sleep just so I could have some quiet time but let me tell ya, it was niiiice.
Here’s a couple of pictures for the grandparents. I really need to help G with the kids so instead of sitting here typing I should probably do my motherly duties.
Remember that rhyme as a kid? I do and I always loved playing. A few weeks ago I did it with Emma and now she is hooked. Last night after her bath she got out 4 different pairs of pajamas and started doing eeny meeny mino mo and it’s the cutest thing you’ve ever heard. Seriously! Emma has the cutest little girly voice. Then this morning she got out about 50 pairs of panties and she comes running into the living room to tell me that her Ni Hao, Kai Lan panties with glitter had won! ha! She’s so funny. I just can’t believe she had memorized the entire rhyme after 1 time hearing it. She’s getting so big. Which reminds me that in less than 1 month she will be in MDO 2 whole days a week. Just for 4 hours each day. She is so incredibly excited and I’m excited for her. She will love it.
So I had big plans to blog about our big week last week but it overwhelms me to think about everything that we did so I’ll skip it and just say that we visited several people, went swimming twice, had princess camp every day of the week, followed by a 15 minute show for the parents on Friday. Let me tell you about that! Emma has never performed in front of a crowd before and there were probably 20 people there. Ru Rus told me that before the kids walked into the dance studio Emma just fell to the ground face first. The girl is so dramatic. Then about 12 or so little princesses come walking in the door with their tutus, capes, and huge flower head pieces. It was a sight to see. They all come in and start doing their thing and what does Emma do? She falls to the ground again. It was so funny! I was laughing and my video was shaking I was laughing so hard. Aunt Beth picked her up but Emma wouldn’t do the other stuff. Then they all go to the wall to wait their turn. Emma ended up being the last one to run up to Aunt Beth and curtsy but she finally did it. I was so proud! She starts dance classes in August too and I really hope she doesn’t lay down on the floor at recital.
I snapped a few pictures tonight so enjoy!
I also wanted to share a few pictures of Emma from 2008. It is so much fun to go back and see Emma’s cute little face and just see how small she was.
Wow, she has changed so much in 2 years! Love my little princess!
I hope everyone finds their way over here! I hated to leave Blogger but I’ve been having a hard time uploading my pictures and videos. I am really hoping that WordPress is friendlier.
So now that we’ve got that out of the way. We have been so busy! The kids and I spent last week in TN so Emma could attend Princess Camp at Aunt Beth’s studio and we had so much fun. We stayed so busy visiting everyone but it was worth it. I finally unpacked today and the house is back to order and that feels great. Here are a few pictures for now. Both kiddos are in bed and G and I are about to watch Mad Men & drink coffee. Life is great!
I’m hoping to start blogging more again. I’m hoping to take it easy this week and then next week our cousins Graham and Isaac we will be staying the entire week with us! We are so excited about them coming. Good night!
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE having a girl. Not just any girl, but a total girly girl. I’ve never been much of a girly girl so who knows where she got it from but I love it. She just makes my day when she changes princess dresses every hour and only wants to wear skirts and dresses that she can twirl in. So so cute.
Yesterday I got brave and asked Emma if I could braid her hair. That’s one of those things I always wanted to do if & when I had a little girl. Growing up my stepmom Betsy would always french braid my hair and I enjoyed doing it with my friends. So I was super happy when Emma let me do it and she stood so incredibly still on the stool and not once did she yell ouch. I was very proud of my work and that stayed in about 12 hours. She loved them and didn’t take them out until bedtime. Happy mommy moment!
She has a crazy part at the crown of her head but I think they are adorable. My my she is growing fast! This next picture was taken yesterday evening after Daddy got home. We were going to go outside for a few minutes and Emma runs out with this hat on her head like it is winter time. She has a crazy sense of fashion! Her sweet cousin Melica made her this hat maybe 2 years ago and she wears it all the time.
